The Body in Motion: Form, Alignment, & Imagination

  • Internal forms of practice

    • learn how to align yourself for the benefit of spine & nervous system

    • learn Sun Salutations sequences; the foundations of asana practice

    • BREATH, MOVEMENT, and FORM
 

    • learn this form that acknowledges the sun, and the gifts of the sun, and develop or deepen relationship with the environment outside and inside

    • learn these movement patterns that heat up your body, lubricates your joints, connects you to your breath, and directs your focus

    • each movement and form will be taught in multiple variations and modifications, from simple to more complex


WEDNESDAY May 15th 6:30-8:30 AM
The Art of Vinyasa & the Floating Body (or its ingredients)

  • practice placing, moving and working the body rhythmically with the gaze, breath and intention


    • learn how to move in a smooth & fluid manner giving the yoga practice a meditative quality

  • tips, skills, and drills to build strength and pick yourself up

  • hip revelations 101

FRIDAY May 17th 6:30-8:30 AM

Standing on Your Own: Inversions & Connectivity

  • Learn how to connect the dots

    • Handstands, forearm stands, headstands, shoulder stands

  • Take a bow and close the practice

    • Learn how to seal the practice, offer the effort, and deeply rest
